the charities

Please help us raise money for the following charities.  This can be done in one of two ways, either online below, or by sending a cheque.

Donating online

To donate online you can either donate directly to Diabetes UK via the just giving website, or you can donate to the expedition charity account, which will be divided equally up amongst the charities on the completion of the fundraising goals.   Please note that for every donation online, a commission is taken and so it is ideal if you donate by cheque.

Donating by cheque

If you wish to send us a cheque donation, you will need to make your cheque payable to “extreme south” and print off the gift aid form from below.

(Download gift aid form here)

Please then post your cheque and Gift Aid form to:

Extreme South
7 Broadwater Road
London
SW17 0DS
UK

Please make sure you have signed and dated your cheque and made it payable to Extreme South.

Target £250,000

If you would be interested in encouraging your company to support these charities instead of sending Christmas cards this year, or think that they may be open to a charity matching scheme, then please contact us.

Diabetes UK is the leading charity working for people with diabetes, funding research and helping people live with the condition. Its mission is to improve the lives of people with diabetes and to work towards a future without diabetes.

The St George's Trust is a local charity, administered by the hospital, that this year is aiming to expand and modernise the diabetes department at the hospital. The expedition hopes to be able to support this expansion as well as provide funding for a research fellow to further our knowledge into diabetes.

Adopt-a-Minefield is a campaign of the United Nations Association which engages individuals, community groups, and businesses in the United Nations effort to resolve the global landmine crisis. The Campaign helps save lives by raising funds for mine clearance and survivor assistance and by raising awareness about the landmine problem.

Please note that all money raised for the charities will be kept completely separate from the expedition budget.
